Interior spaceThe Ford Mondeo was released in 1993 in three different bodystyles: estate, saloon and hatchback. It was intended as a replacement for the Sierra, taking over its place in the mid-size segment. With two decades of production behind it, the fourth generation Mondeo was released with various bodystyles and numerous engine options.
The engine options in this generation aimed to increase fuel efficiency and reduce emissions. The new Mondeo had some unique styling that brought Ford into a new design era. Ford added straighter lines to its design and placed swept-back headlights on the front.
