With the arrival of the fifth-generation Santa Fe, Hyundai decided to give the SUV an entirely new look. Sharper lines and a more modern design were added to the fourth generation Santa Fe. New models had 18-inch alloy wheels, LED running lights, automatic climate control and enhanced connectivity. The Santa Fe was also made to be more comfortable for families, with three-row seating coming as standard.

A 2020 refresh added even more tech features to the large SUV. On the outside, a new shield was added to the lower air intake and a redesigned rear bumper gave it a more modern appearance.

Even though the third-generation Santa Fe remained affordable, the appearance looked more stylish than before with its bigger grille and bold look. The large grille was topped with three horizontal chromed lines and the bumper housed large fog lights for better visibility.

The third-generation Santa Fe didn't receive as many updates as other models, but Hyundai only kept it for six years, so it remained a relevant and fresh option for families, especially considering the large amount of powertrains that were available.
