There have been numerous options available with the Peugeot 508, including diesel, hybrid or petrol engines, automatic or manual gearboxes, and front-wheel or four-wheel drive.

Petrol

1.2-litre turbo three-cylinder generates 129bhp with an efficiency rating of up to 50mpg, depending on the variant.

Peugeot released the 508 in 2011 as a replacement for the 407 and the larger 607. First Generation (2011 to 2018)

Peugeot wanted to replace its mid-size 407 saloon and executive 607 with a single car, so the company released the 508. Those who wanted the 407 were happy with the larger model and enthusiasts of the 607 enjoyed the enhanced materials and equipment of the 508, so it was a win-win situation. Many of the car's details made it look different from others in the segment, such as the broad trapezoidal grille and swept-back headlights.
