If you're in the market for a car that's safe, affordable and practical, then a used Vauxhall Grandland X is a great choice. This stylish SUV has been built with good infotainment systems, and all models are well-equipped. Not only is the spacious cabin comfortable, but there are also a number of efficient powertrain options.
There have been many powertrain options with the Vauxhall Grandland X models, including petrol, diesel and hybrid paired to an automatic or a manual transmission and front- or four-wheel drive.

Interior spaceVauxhall released the Grandland X in 2017 as its largest SUV, just above the Crossland X. Sharing a platform with the Peugeot 3008, the Grandland X replaced the Antara with its attractive styling. Most used car buyers are looking at the petrol models because they are the most affordable. The diesel engines are worth checking out for fuel efficiency, and a small selection of hybrid models available.
Vauxhall offered the Grandland X in several models: Business Edition Nav, SE Premium, Griffin, Ultimate Nav and Elite Nav. Among used cars, the most popular is the Elite Nav; a top-tier option with heated seats, a heated steering wheel and a satnav system.
You could consider looking for steering-wheel-mounted audio controls, which work well with the available premium sound system. There are also silver-effect roof rails that add a stylish look to the Grandland X, or advanced parking assist technology if you're planning to drive in urban environments.
The Grandland X has a spacious interior that makes room for the tallest passengers. Amply boot space means you shouldn't have problems transporting larger items like suitcases or pushchairs.
There are two hybrid options to choose from, either the Hybrid (PHEV), which creates 221bhp for a 0-60mph time of 8.6 seconds, or the Hybrid4, which increases the output to 296bhp and provides around 35 miles of electric-only driving per charge.
There are automatic transmission options available and they are easy to find among used cars. However, the manual gearbox is more popular, likely because it costs less to run and is cheaper to buy.
Most Vauxhall Grandland X models were built with front-wheel drive, but some are available with four-wheel drive. An available All Road pack adds unique tyres for driving in mud and snow, with selectable modes for varying conditions.
