If you're in the market for a car that has stylish looks, offers superb performance and is fun to drive, then a used Audi TT is a great choice. Even with the sporty driving experience, the TT lineup is surprisingly efficient and affordable to run. It's also enjoyable to drive every day, with supportive seating and upmarket materials used throughout the cabin.
While the Audi TT now only comes with a petrol engine, there used to be a diesel model available. There's also the option of an automatic or a manual gearbox, as well as front- or four-wheel drive.

The petrol engines have been the most popular because there weren't as many diesel motors to choose from. While the petrol engines have produced a varying amount of power, the diesel has been the most efficient. The most popular is the 2.0-litre petrol, which provides the power you'd expect from a sports car while remaining efficient, being able to achieve around 40mpg.
The newest Audi TT is only available as a Final Edition. From a used standpoint, the S Line Competition has been the top choice. Sitting a few steps above the base model convertible, this trim offers specially designed bumpers, side sills and S line detailing, along with improved performance details such as a lower suspension.
Buyers of a used Audi TT should look out for a full Nappa leather interior for a more luxurious cabin experience. Some examples will also be fitted with premium stereo systems, including one from Bang & Olufsen.
As a sports car, the Audi TT coupé wouldn't instantly be thought of as being ideal for families. However, it does have two small rear seats that can hold children. Also, there are ISOFIX mounts for installing child seats, which are hard to find in this segment.
There are no hybrid versions of the TT.
The Audi TT has been available with an automatic and a manual transmission. They are equally as popular among used models, so both are easy to find.
Audi has produced the TT with front- or four-wheel drive. The four-wheel drive system is labeled 'Quattro', and it provides better traction and handling, especially when the roads are slippery.
