If you're in the market for a great value used car that's compact, practical and spacious, then a used Vauxhall Meriva is a great choice. This small-sized MPV has an accommodating cabin with loads of practical features, including well-designed rear doors. The Meriva's diminutive size makes it easy to navigate city streets, but it also has the power needed for motorway driving.

Interior spaceThe Vauxhall Meriva was launched in 2003, based on the same platform as the Corsa. Drivers wanted a family-friendly MPV that was small yet spacious, so Vauxhall released the Meriva in 2003. Inside the cabin, the high-mounted seats were meant to provide a better view. The interior seating was among the highlights of this model, but enthusiasts also loved the availability of different engines.
Even though the second-generation Meriva still had elements of the smaller Corsa in its design, there were some new features that set it apart. Vauxhall added bigger headlights and an upgraded grille with a chromed bar. The lower grille ended up forming a smiling face with its side scoops. There were still several engine options available.
In 2014, Vauxhall released its last update for the Meriva. New engines arrived to meet Euro 6 emissions standards and LED bulbs were added to the daytime running lights and taillights. There was also the option to upgrade to 18-inch light-alloy wheels, which were hard to find in this segment.
