If you're in the market for a car that's sporty, reliable and fun, then a used BMW X2 is a great choice. The X2 has been available in diesel and petrol engines, paired to an automatic or a manual gearbox and front- and four-wheel drive.

Interior spaceTo add more options to its premium SUV lineup, BMW released the X2 in 2018. It was one of the smallest models, comparable in size to the X1. Since then, BMW has debuted a second-generation X2 with a bolder style and enhanced tech features, creating the perfect blend of versatility, performance and luxury.
Continuing to share its platform with the X1, the new X2 offered a sportier upgrade with a wider grille design and an optional LED strip. The front style depended upon the model chosen, with the option for adaptive LED headlights and two different bumpers that included air scoops for better engine cooling. The LED taillight design ensured that the X2 looked wider than before from the rear, but the SUV was also made bigger to add more interior space.
Inside the cabin, new technology was added. Additionally, BMW upgraded the powertrain choices, ensuring that drivers had access to plenty of power or efficiency, depending on their needs.

The X2 was released and shared its platform with the MINI Countryman and X1. However, it was designed as a Sports Active Coupé, modelled after the X1, which shared its similar size. Despite sharing its platform, the X2 didn't have a lot of the same styling features as the X1. In fact, it was described as being a hatchback with a high ground clearance.

The newest lineup features the M Models and the M. The M Sport continues to be the most popular among used cars, with upgraded suspension, ambient interior lighting, Alcantara leather upholstery and heated front sports seats.
You can look out for available tech features such as adaptive LED lights, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, a wireless charging pad, a head-up display and keyless entry. Added safety features can also be found, such as automatic speed limit assistance, advanced lane-keeping aids and adaptive cruise control.
The BMW X2 offers plenty of room for a family, but the sloping roofline can reduce the rear seat headroom. If passengers will be in the back seat regularly, you may also want to consider looking at the BMW X1.
BMW does make the newest petrol engine with mild hybrid technology. There hasn't been a plug-in hybrid variant yet, but there is an all-electric variant, known as the iX2.
