The BMW i8 came into the UK market in 2014 as a high-end version of the BMW i-series. It was among the very few sports cars with a hybrid engine during its launch, making it a definition of future cars. The i8 coupe was the only option available until 2018 when the BMW i8 Roadster, a convertible, came into the market.
