Interior spaceSince its introduction in 2007, MINI has provided a retro-inspired estate version of the iconic Mini Hatch, branded as Clubman. Throughout its two generations, the technology available in each model has been consistently upgraded, keeping the lineup relevant and up to date with car-owner needs. Each generation and facelift also brought new customisation options, allowing drivers to uniquely stylise their Clubman.
With the release of the second generation came an updated suspension system, new connectivity features and more premium materials. The extended roofline and steep rear slope help to give it a unique style. Circular headlights shine from the chrome surround and hexagonal grille for a perfectly accented appeal.
In 2019, MINI released a refresh with available adaptive LED headlights and a newly designed domed bonnet to give a more solid appearance. With the optional black roof and pillars, the Clubman has a sportier look than previous models. Personalisation options from new included a sport suspension that lowers ground clearance by 2 inches, as well as 19-inch alloy wheels that complement the whole design.

MINI released the Clubman as a more spacious version of its popular lineup in 2007. While it looked the same as the MINI Hatch upfront, it was longer. The four-door design was unique for a small hatchback and the interior was meant to feel premium.
In the cabin, the retro speedometer design sat at the centre of the dash, while a smaller tachometer was cleverly positioned in front of the driver's seat. Right out of the gate, MINI offered the Clubman in three variants – Cooper, Cooper S and John Cooper Works – with the third one offering the most power.

The Clubman rides on a longer wheelbase, offering additional interior space and a more comfortable drive. It still contains the same style and features as the smaller hatchback, but does it on a larger scale.
For maximum power, the John Cooper Works provides 301bhp, giving drivers faster acceleration and better cruising speeds. Yet the most efficient of the bunch is the Cooper, with a rating of up to 47.1mpg.
The MINI Clubman has three trim levels: Cooper, Cooper S and John Cooper Works. Each one features its own unique powertrain, stepping up to a little more power with each jump.
While not an obvious choice of family car, the MINI Clubman does have decent space for rear passengers and a well-sized boot. Child safety seats can easily be installed in the back. It has previously earned the award of being the Dog Friendly Car of the Year, such is the Clubman's practicality credentials.
While MINI isn't currently manufacturing a hybrid or electric model of the Clubman, there could be one in the future. MINI has been working diligently at transitioning over to an electric lineup.
