Engines and transmissions

Dacia has offered a wide range of powertrain options with the Sandero Stepway, including petrol, diesel and LPG. The power was transferred to the front wheels through an automatic or a manual transmission.

Petrol

TCe 90 uses mild-hybrid technology to output 89bhp for a 0-60mph time of 11.6 seconds with an efficiency rating of up to 51.4mpg.
TCe 110 petrol engine produces 108bhp for a 9.7-second 0-60mph time and achieves a fuel economy rating of 45.6mpg.
TCe 100 bi-fuel engine provides a boost to 98bhp, allowing for up to 800 miles of driving when both tanks are full and used in parallel, equating to around 48.7mpg.
Older 0.9-litre engine generated 88bhp and around 50mpg, while a 1.0-litre produced 71bhp and 53mpg.

Diesel

Older models had a 1.5 dCi that produced 88bhp and an 11.3-second 0-60mph time with an efficiency rating of 74mpg.
Earlier 1.5-litre generated 93bhp and achieved an efficiency rating of 72mpg.

Practicality

The Dacia Sandero Stepway is a practical crossover with a fun hatchback style and a spacious interior designed for small families.

Interior space

Movement in every direction is available with the front seats and steering wheel.
Two adults fit comfortably in the outer rear seats with ample headroom.
ISOFIX points are available to secure child seats, and the back seat is well-equipped for bulky, rear-facing models.

Boot space

328-litre boot capacity, which is more than the Kia Picanto and Fiat 500.
Split-folding rear seats are available with higher-spec models to increase the amount of boot space.

Adjustable boot floor reduces the lip for easier loading or makes more carrying space.

Safety

2021 Euro NCAP rating is two out of five stars.
Child occupant rating is 72%, with adult occupant at 70%.
Standard safety kit includes pretensioners and airbags (front and side).

Technology

8.0-inch medial display is standard with all models apart from the base model.
Driver display has a digital screen for economy, radio channel and tyre pressure, with two analogue dials for revs and speed.
