If you're in the market for a sporty hatchback that's stylish and practical, then a used Audi S3 is a fantastic choice. Interior spaceThroughout its production, the S3 has only been available with one petrol engine per generation, though the newer ones have been upgraded to offer more power.
The newest S3 lineup comes in two trim levels: Black Edition and Vorsprung. The Black Edition is the lower-cost option of the two, making it the favourite among S3 owners, while the Vorsprung provides additional specification, making them more desirable.
Customers should look out for models that include 19-inch Sport diamond cut alloy wheels and S suspension with damper control. A premium Bang & Olufsen sound system and advanced safety features are also available.
Despite being focused on performance, the S3 has a lot to offer families. The rear seat room is accommodating in the saloon or estate models, and the boot is the same size as a normal family hatchback.
The most recent iteration of the S3 came equipped with an automatic as standard, so they are easy to find on the used market. There are a handful of manual examples of the S3 out there on the used market, however.
The Audi S3 has only ever been available with all-wheel drive. Audi calls this system 'Quattro', meaning that power is sent to all four wheels. With this capability, drivers can expect better handling and traction.
