Interior spaceThe Vauxhall Mokka was first introduced in 2012 as a small crossover, similar to the Astra hatch. It was originally built on a General Motor's platform, with a high-roof and bulkier features. Now in its second generation, Vauxhall continues to add stylised features and new technology to keep it up to date with car-owners' needs.
During the second generation, the styling was transformed, and the model was also split into two different categories. While the standard line-up still contained an ICE configuration, there was also a new model with an electric-only powertrain created, known as the Mokka-e.
Inside the cabin, the Mokka was fitted with up-to-date technology and high-end touches gracing the top trims. Customers could opt for budget-friendly base models or a crossover with all of the latest equipment, allowing for a range of customisation.

The Vauxhall Mokka originally was launched to fit into the crossover category. It's designed to navigate crowded streets and fit into smaller parking spaces but remain spacious and comfortable inside.
A 2016 facelift revised the powertrain options and updated the interior. Some models came equipped with navigation systems and high-tech infotainment touchscreens. While most sales went to front-wheel drive variants, four-wheel drive was also made available.

The most popular Vauxhall Mokka engine is the 1.2-litre petrol variation. Depending on the model, there are various horsepower ratings, between 98 and 134bhp. Vauxhall also released an all-electric version, the Mokka Electric.
The new Mokka comes in three trims: Design, GS and Ultimate. Launch trim levels included S, Exclusiv and SE. The Design trim seems to be the most popular choice today, thanks to its blend of good value and equipment levels.
For increased functionality, keep an eye out for Mokka models that include a 10-inch colour touchscreen with satnav. Some other customised features to look out for are Alcantara seating and 18-inch bi-colour alloy wheels.
Even though it's not as spacious as a larger SUV, the Mokka does provide plenty of back-seat room for kids. With adequate boot space and updated technology, it would make a good vehicle for a family holiday.
Currently, Vauxhall does not provide the Mokka in a hybrid version. However, a Mokka Electric was released a few years ago to provide zero tailpipe emissions.
