If you're in the market for a tiny city car that's compact, cheap to run and stylish, then a used Toyota iQ is a great choice. Measuring less than three metres long, it's not much different in size from two-seaters, except the iQ has a 3+1 configuration. Interior spaceToyota unveiled the iQ in 2008, showing that a tiny 2-door city car can hold more than two people. It won’t win performance awards, but for city errands, narrow streets, and easy parking, the iQ is a charming and sensible little car.

The smaller petrol engine has been the most popular, due to its efficiency. With the car's small size, the 68bhp is more than enough to keep the car moving and the 65mpg rating is great for saving money.
Toyota offered the iQ in three trims: iQ, iQ2 and iQ3. The mid-range iQ2 is the most popular among iQ owners due to its extra features, such as 15-inch polished alloys, chrome-tinted front foglamps and privacy glass.
Larger alloy wheels help to give the iQ a unique style, while front fog lights and bi-halogen headlights can add more visibility. For more comfort and functionality, consider looking for models with climate control and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
Despite there being two small seats in the back, the iQ is suitable really suitable as everyday family transport. It is possible to fit two adults in the front and two small children in the back, but three people is a lot more realistic and comfortable than four. There's also not a lot of boot space unless the rear seats are not in use.
