Audi's first all-electric car was known as the e-tron and was released in 2019. While it resembled the rest of the Audi SUV lineup, it produced zero tailpipe emissions and ran solely on electric power. While the nameplate didn't make it out of the first generation, Audi has used the e-tron name for numerous cars, using it for every electric model produced. This particular model turned into the Q8 e-tron in 2022.

All e-tron models come with electric motors instead of a traditional engine, with varying outputs available. Many drivers stick to the base configuration with an output of 308bhp which helps to keep the cost down.
Audi has offered numerous variants in the production of the e-tron, including Black Edition, Launch Edition, S Line and Technik. The Technik seems to be among the most popular, coming with all of the typical standard equipment such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with possible upgrades.
Look out for the rear-view screens that are put in place of the door mirrors. There is also an available memory function for the driver's seat to help it return to position after someone else has used it.
The e-tron has a large amount of rear headroom and legroom, so all passengers can be comfortable when taking a holiday drive. There's also a massive boot that's bigger than the BMW iX.
The e-tron is the first electric vehicle from Audi. It was only available with multiple variations of the all-electric powertrain and a hybrid variant wasn't built.
The e-tron uses a single-speed automatic transmission, resulting in instantly available torque. There's no option to purchase an e-tron with a manual gearbox.
All e-tronmodels include quattro all-wheel drive. Power is distributed to all four wheels to increase traction and provide better handling.
