Inside the cabin, the new Mustang has a 12.4-inch digital gauge cluster and ambient lighting that adapts to each driving mode. Ford also released new interior materials and colours, including optional Recaro bucket seats.

First arriving in the UK during this generation, Ford updated the Mustang to have a more retro-inspired look. It also arrived with a revised independent rear suspension to improve handling, keeping it on par with European coupes. A 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine from the Focus RS sat alongside the more traditional and desirable 5.0-litre V8.
