If you're in the market for a SUV that offers a spacious cabin and a variety of powertrain options, then a used Honda CR-V may be your best option. Not only has the CR-V proven to be reliable, but modern models also come equipped with high-tech features that allow for an enjoyable driving experience. There are also all-wheel drive models available, helping with traction in wet and slippy road conditions.
The sixth-generation Honda CR-V only comes as a hybrid and plug-in hybrid model with all-wheel drive and a CVT to deliver power.
Petrol and HybridThe Honda CR-V first arrived in the UK in 1997 as a crossover vehicle. Now currently in its sixth generation, the CR-V has only hybrid powertrains in the UK, improving fuel efficiency and lowering overall emissions.
Each refresh and redesign also brought more advanced interior equipment into the mix, keeping the well-regarded Honda SUV up to date with the competition.
The biggest update to the newest CR-V is the hybrid powertrain. Design changes include a new grille with a 3D hexagonal pattern and an air intake found below the bumper. Lighting was also updated with a slimmer design that's angled upwards, reminiscent of newer Civic models.
Further updates to the centre console were also introduced. The infotainment screen has been placed on the top of the centre console for optimal visibility.

The updated generation included a striking design that looked more sophisticated than before. The front fascia featured two large headlights, giving it a bold stance. A refresh occurred in 2019, bringing with it a revamped lower bumper for wider scoops to hold the fog lights. Inside the cabin, a 7-inch digital instrument panel provided the driver with more information.

In 2011, the fourth-generation CR-V arrived with more style than before. The swept-back headlights gave it a more refined, upmarket appeal and the triangle-shaped window back by the rear doors helped it to stand out from the competition.
A refresh occurred in 2014, bringing new powertrain options to comply with the Euro 6 emission standards. During the changes, the exterior look was also slightly updated.
