If you’ve been looking for an emissions-free crossover with luxury features, then a used Volvo C40 is a great option. The slopping roof design gives the C40 a style unlike other SUVs on the road and it’s topped with an upscale interior that mirrors the brand's other EVs. Newer models can achieve a driving range of up to 297 miles per charge, which is an improvement of 24% over the older versions.
The first C40 includes two electric motors, one in the rear and another in the front, to produce 402 horsepower. All-wheel drive is standard on these crossovers. It features a 0-60 mph that’s similar to the XC40 – around 4.5 seconds. Starting with the 2024 C40, there’s a new rear-wheel drive model with a 78.0-kWh battery pack to create up to 297 miles of range per charge. The all-wheel drive twin-motor design remains. 2022 and 2023 C40 models had a battery capacity of 69-kWh, so the newer models provide a longer drive range.
ElectricThe C40 is just as practical as the XC40 Recharge, with slightly more front headroom. Seating for five is supportive and the interior features high-class materials.
Interior SpaceThe Volvo C40 has been on the roads since 2022. It was designed as a sportier version of the XC40 Recharge, even though it shares the same underpinnings. It has a coupe-like style with more dramatic lines. Each new model year has brought forth better technological advancements and comfort, but the older options are better for those looking to stick to a budget.
