Ford offered the C-MAX in three models: Zetec, Titanium and Titanium X. The most popular has been the Zetec because of its lower price. Engines and transmissions

You have the choice of petrol and diesel engines, manual or automatic transmission and standard front-wheel drive.

Petrol

1.0-litre EcoBoost outputs either 98bhp or 123bhp, providing efficiency of up to 55mpg, depending on the model variant.
1.5-litre engine is more powerful, creating 147bhp and a 0-60mph time of 9.9 seconds, but also decreases the efficiency to 33.6mpg.
1.6-litre variants produce 103bhp, 123bhp, 147bhp or 179bhp, with the most powerful hitting 60mph in 8.2 seconds and holding a respectable fuel economy of up to 45mpg.

Diesel

1.5-litre generates 118bhp, with fuel economy varying between 46.3mpg and an impressive 74mpg on the ECOnetic variants.
1.6-litre produces 113bhp and offers a fuel economy of 62mpg.
2.0-litre Titanium variant offered that produced 138bhp or 147bhp, with the less powerful offering up to 57mpg and the higher powered producing up to 64mpg.

The C-MAX is a practical people carrier that offers ample space for the family to enjoy the drive without feeling cramped.

Interior space

Adults have plenty of headroom and legroom thanks to the design of the seats and higher roofline.
Three adults may struggle to fit in the back seat together, but a child fits perfectly between two adults.
Rear ISOFIX points for child seat installation are easy to access.

Boot space

432-litre boot can be accessed easily and features a great shape.
Folding down the rear seats increases the boot space.
Available hands-free electric boot opening.

Bodystyles

C-MAX is only available with a five-seat configuration.
