1.0-litre three-cylinder EcoBoost takes 12 seconds to reach 62mph and has a fuel economy rating of 54.3mpg.

Diesel

2.0-litre diesel outputs 148bhp, but is the most economical with a rating of 61.4mpg.
More powerful variant of the same motor offers 187bhp with a slightly reduced rating of 50.4mpg.
Smaller 1.5-litre diesel has a fuel economy rating of 70.6mpg, making it a top choice for low running costs.

The Ford Mondeo has a spacious cabin and is a practical family car. With modern tech features, the newer models are even more comfortable.

Newer models have more interior room because of the longer wheelbase.
