About the Jaguar F-Type
Jaguar offers the class and performance required in this car. The car has also undergone several upgrades and facelifts over the years to maintain its competitive edge. Enthusiasts of the marque who are not ready for a new 2020 model of the F-type will find the same value in 2018 models. The basic trim of the 2018 F-Type takes 6.4 seconds to reach 62 mph from a standstill position and has a top speed of 155 mph.
What can you expect to find in a Jaguar F-Type?
The 2018 F-Type comes in three spec levels; Base, R and SVR. However, there are several sub-variations in between which increase the options. Some of the standard features in the F-Type are:
- 8-speed automatic transmission
- Rear-wheel drive
- 8-inch alloy wheels
- LED headlights, tailgates and automatic wipers
- Power seats with memory settings
- Leather upholstery
- Jaguar's Touch Pro infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen
The Base trim comes with 340 HP, 380 HP, Dynamic and 400 Sport sub-trims, with the first two defined based on the engine output. Other extras in the sub-variants include:
- Driver selectable active exhaust
- 19-inch alloy wheels
- Adaptive suspension
- Upgraded brakes and a limited-slip differential
Given the sub-specs, going for the R trim is a significant leap in both price and performance. It is also rewarding as one gets a 5-litre supercharged V8 engine offering 550 HP paired with an automatic AWD. 20-inch alloy wheels, premium leather upholstery, gloss black exterior, auto-dimming side mirrors, keyless entry and sports seats are the other perks in this trim. Power enthusiasts can still opt for the 575 HP SVR trim.
