The Kia Cerato is a compact car that's a great option for people who want something solid and reliable for a relatively small amount of money. Comfortable, nicely kitted out and great value, it's not overly attractive or speedy, but it'll always work and never complain. it's a quirky South Korean auto that does its job very well.
It was in production between 2003 and 2008, although in Europe the Kia Ceed replaced it in 2006. The Cerato came in both saloon and hatchback forms, and the compact size along with a front wheel drive layout meant it was very easy to drive. A good selection of engines was also available, ranging from 1.6 to 2.0 litre petrols and 1.5 to 2.0 litre diesels. Essentially there was something to suit the needs of a variety of motorists, who looked for budget friendliness above anything else.
To be honest, the Cerato is rather conservative in terms of style, but it doesn't look bad at all. You can tell it was designed to look 'European' in nature, and actually there are some nice curves and shapes on offer. Interior wise, it's well put together, but lacks sophistication. However the seats are comfortable, the cockpit is functional and there's actually a good cabin space. No end of equipment and a huge 538 litre boot in the hatchback means it's more than adequate to meet the demands of families.
Behind the wheel, it's actually not a bad package at all. Reasonably sprightly, especially with the 2.0 litre engines, it's quite nimble and light on its feet. The ride can deal with most road surfaces, and while you won't achieve massive speed, the fuel economy ratings are exceptional. Essentially it's a good car for pottering around town doing everyday jobs, and won't cost a fortune to run.
If you really want to keep your bank account looking healthy, getting a second hand Kia Cerato is definitely the best thing to do. Not only will you pay less, but the chances are you'll be able to drive away on the day, after having taken it out for a test. MOTORS is your one stop shop for used cars for sale, and nothing but the best quality autos are listed at discounted costs. Bargain hunting has never been so easy.
So with the Kia Cerato you get a good all rounder that's cheap to run, good to drive and nicely kitted out. it's not overly fast or stylish, but it does everything you'd expect from a small family car, and doesn't make a habit of going wrong. it's just an auto that stays on the straight and narrow, and likes to cruise around.
