Used MINI Clubman cars for sale

Owned by German giant BMW, MINI is renowned for creating iconic little cars. Its most famous car is, of course, the classic Cooper. However, as great as that car is, it lacks a lot in the practicality department - the rear seats and the boot space are small. Thankfully, MINI has listened to these complaints and created a new range of larger MINIs, including the Clubman. With some clever split-opening rear doors, the Clubman manages to retain everything that is so desirable about the Cooper, while adding enough practicality to make it a sensible buy for families.

About the Mini Clubman

Having a larger MINI Cooper might seem like an oxymoron - doesn’t that defeat the purpose of the car? Fortunately not. The Clubman isn’t a large car by any means, but it’s far more practical than your average Cooper. All models have 5 doors and can easily fit 4 adult passengers in it comfortably, even on longer drives. Of course, the aesthetics of a MINI is one of the biggest selling points, so this needed to remain the same. The Clubman really does just look like a jumped-up Cooper, with a unique looking back that helps make it easier to live with - not a bad compromise.

What you can expect to find in a MINI Clubman

There are a total of 7 trims available on the MINI Clubman: The Cooper Classic, Cooper Exclusive, Cooper S Classic, Cooper Sport, Cooper S Sport, Cooper S Exclusive, and the cream of the crop, the John Cooper Works trim. As well as all those trims to choose from, there are lots of customisation options and optional tech packs. This means you can pick and choose between features and tech that you’ll actually use, rather than paying for things you don’t want. The Clubman isn’t a cheap car, so it’s nice to see that even the entry-level trims have some really great features.

MINIs tend to be more expensive than their rivals - one reason for this is how good they are to drive. The handling on the MINI is phenomenal, and it’s an absolute joy to drive around country roads - it’ll certainly spice up your morning commute. On top of this, MINI has packed the Clubman with super punchy and powerful engines, so you’ll have no problems overtaking on the motorway. Unlike the classic Cooper hatchback, the Clubman manages to accomplish all of this while still keeping a high level of practicality and liveability. On the higher trims, the Clubman is packed with some seriously good tech.

Since being released a few years ago, the Clubman has become an extremely desirable car. The MINI Hatchback has always been a great car, but as it's less practical and smaller in size, it can put lots of drivers off. The Clubman remedies this and makes sure that those who need a vehicle that’s easy to live with can still enjoy everything this iconic brand has to offer. The interior of the Clubman is lovely, and all the materials are quite luxurious. There are no cheap plastics to be found on the dash. MINI hasn’t gone overboard with the tech and has kept that iconic circular centre console. Many drivers will appreciate this - it’s effortless to operate, but certainly isn’t lacking in helpful features. As the Clubman is quite expensive from new, consider buying from used to save yourself some money. As the Clubman has a really high resale value, you’ll be able to sell it on a few years down the line and get some of your money back.
