More Mitsubishi Carisma Information

The Mitsubishi Carisma is a large family car from the world renowned Japanese automaker. it's well equipped and reliable, but also offers good amount of interior space. A sensible solution for people on a budget, value for money is the best way to describe this car.

Produced between 1995 and 2004, over 350,000 were made during this time. Despite its name, there's nothing charismatic about it, and actually it's rather conservative, which wasn't accidental; Mitsubishi aimed it squarely at the European car market. With both saloon and hatchback versions available, it's actually rather versatile, and can service the needs of families very well. Updated in 1999, Mitsubishi did little to improve the design, and as a result the Carisma was understated and low key for most of its life.

Indeed the style is not at all remarkable, and could be called boring by some. The curved front grille however is a nice touch, and overall there's an air of durability about it. The interior is very user friendly and features some comfortable seats and a solid amount of space. While not that exciting, there's no question that its target audience will be appreciative because the materials are hard wearing despite looking rather cheap. An average sized boot is good enough for shopping.

Unfortunately the driving experience isn't great and again there's not much pizzazz to speak of. it's easy to get behind the wheel of for sure, but doesn't make you feel anything when you're there. The Carisma is economical however, with the 1.6 litre petrol and 1.9 litre diesel being enthusiastic. Basically it'll do little to your emotions, but always get you to where you need to go on time.

A cheap car even when new, buying pre owned is by far the best way to go about getting this car. You'll be looking at a sub £4000 price tag, which makes it excellent for cash strapped families or even new drivers. Motors.co.uk is one of the best sources of used cars for sale online, and lists thousands of quality autos at unbelievably reduced prices. With a second hand Mitsubishi Carisma, you'll be looking at a tremendous bargain.

The simple fact is that this car couldn't have had a worse name; in fact it's probably the exact opposite. However despite the serious lack of charisma, the Mitsubishi is a solid family car that drives well, doesn't cost a lot to run and is very reliable. It won't break the bank and it won't provide any thrills, but what it will do is be a real work horse that's keen to please.
