The new Countryman has two petrol engines to choose from, with the option of front- or all-wheel drive (ALL4). There are also all-electric, hybrid, petrol and diesel engine options to choose from, depending on the generation.

Interior spaceBMW first released their version of the MINI Countryman in 2010 and it has been through several facelifts along the way, with the newest promising an all-electric powertrain coming soon. With the start of the latest generation, the Countryman lineup will be splitting into two different variants, one using an ICE variant and the other relying on electric power. The all-electric MINI will be released later than the ICE variant.
These MINIs have new headlight designs and a thicker grille (on the ICE version) to cool down the engine. Both can be seen with a silver plastic trim under the bumper, meant to resemble a skid plate.

Officially the largest MINI on the roads at the time, its popularity grew quickly. Design changes to the second generation didn't affect the MINI branding. Instead, the roof was mildly extended and an all-wheel system (ALL4) was added for more capability. Inside the cabin, the design was also reminiscent of the smaller MINIs, but sliding and reclining seats were added to the back for even more comfort.
A 2020 facelift brought standard LED headlights and an available adaptive headlight system. A redesigned rear apron made the new LED taillights stand out.
