Newtownabbey

Positioned on the east coast of Northern Ireland, Newtownabbey is town, sometimes considered a suburb, to the north of Belfast. It has a population of 63,000 which makes the fourth largest urban area in the country.

The town is twinned with Rybnik in Poland and Dorsten in Germany, and also has a ‘sister city’ in the form of Gilbert in the state of Arizona, USA. In actual fact the Newtownabbey area is a combination of 7 different villages that was created in 1958, and like a great deal of places, it saw the Troubles during the 60s, 70s and 80s.

Many different business are based there, including those related to computers and engineering, but there’s also a significant retail presence in the shape of the Northcott Shopping Centre and Abbey Centre. There are also numerous sports clubs and the University of Ulster also has a campus near the town.

One of the best things about the town is its situation in relation to surrounding countryside. Indeed there’s a great deal of variable terrain to get stuck into with a car, and you really don’t have to travel that far out of the general Belfast and surrounding urban area to get at it. From the coast to the hills, it’s to see why so many people enjoy driving there.

So, if you’re looking for used cars for sale in Newtownabbey, Motors.co.uk is by far one of the best places to look. Not only are there over 150,000 second hand autos to choose from all over the UK, but the selection in Northern Ireland is particularly impressive. Obviously considering other nearby areas like Belfast will help you find the best bargains, but overall you’ll be looking at autos of very low prices and staggeringly high quality.
