Interior spaceThe Ignis was first released in 2000 as a small supermini with a high driving position. It became so popular that the Ignis Sport junior 'hot' hatch was also produced. With the rerelease of the Ignis, Suzuki added updated styling features, such as a two-tone dashboard and uniquely located door handles. The boxy SUV-inspired design added to the headroom and ensured the largest boot possible for the size class. The SZ5 model was released with Suzuki's ALLGRIP four-wheel drive system.
A 2020 refresh provided a new grille with five spokes and blacked-out A- and B- pillars for a more sporty appearance. It also featured new powertrain options, including the dual injection system for improved efficiency and throttle response.
