Interior spaceThe Ford S-MAX was introduced in 2006 to fit between the compact C-MAX MPV and the larger Galaxy. A 2020 update brought more advanced safety technology to the S-MAX. It received a redesigned front end, with unique fog lights and a restyled upper grille. Inside the cabin, the seating was upgraded to be more comfortable and was actually certified by independent tests to be better for passengers' backs.
