Slightly larger than the previous generation, the XF has more rear legroom. With its updated aluminium body, the newer XF also became lighter. Jaguar released a manual gearbox for added driver engagement, but there was no V8 version. Instead, Jaguar offered a rare version with a 375bhp supercharged 3.0-litre V6 to supply power.
Aside from that variant, there have been other options, ranging from a diesel to an efficient four-cylinder. Later in the generation, a mild-hybrid diesel was also released. Even as a brand-new model, the Mk1 XF was ahead of its time, technologically and visually. The cool blue ambient interior lighting adds more style, with standard leather upholstery on every trim level. Its original lineup included several petrol and diesel engines.
A 2011 facelift brought some interior upgrades and a new headlight design. The LED daytime running lights are slimmer, while the Sportbrake (released in 2012) offers more boot space for additional carrying capacity.
