Aston Martin introduced the V8 Vantage as its entry-level model, but it became the most popular badge for the automaker. On it, the British firm rose back to its feet, thanks to its appealing look and performance that made it a formidable rival to category leaders such as the Porsche 911. Over the years, the car underwent several performance upgrades while maintaining the same appearance. In 2018, the Vantage came with a thunderous 4.7-litre V8 engine that gets it from 0-62 mph in 4.9 seconds, reaching a top speed of 175 mph. In its debut launch, the Aston Martin V8 Vantage came with a 4.3-litre V8 engine. An identical roadster followed in 2006 before the more powerful yet efficient 4.7-litre model came in 2008. In mid-2009, the carmaker introduced a V12 150 bhp option before reintroducing a refined 430 bhp 4.7-litre V8 in 2011. Due to its high performance and the skills required to service it, the V8 Vantage is not a ride for anyone who seeks to keep the running costs low. With a CO2 emission of 358 g/km, the past generation Vantage's eco-score is almost zero, attracting high road tax.
