Hyundai had already appeared to perfect the design of the i30 by the time the third generation arrived. Several facelifts have occurred since its introduction. For example, a 2018 update revealed redesigned lines that appeared more elegant, while the 2020 refresh added a new bumper, giving the i30 a more striking look. The petrol engines have been slightly more popular than the diesels, but probably only because they have been offered in greater numbers. The diesel engine is the most efficient, so this is worth looking for.
Various models have been offered over the years, including Active, SE, SE Nav, Style, N-Line and N. The SE tends to be the most popular, with several of its variants offering more features. For example, the SE Connect comes with air conditioning, a reversing camera and rear parking sensors.
