West Bromwich

Situated in the West Midlands, West Bromwich is a large town with a population of 137,000. It’s north west of Birmingham, south east of Wolverhampton, and sits right in the middle of the huge conurbation that dominates the area

The town grew very quickly during the 19th century due to the industrialisation of coal mining nearby. Previously it had served as a stage coach stopping point between London and Shrewsbury. Much development occurred during the early 20th century, and a massive influx of migrants from Commonwealth countries could be seen in the 1960s.

While much industry has ceased these days, the town benefits from sitting in an enterprise zone, and a multitude of retailers and businesses can be found in nearby areas. Without doubt, the local football club, West Bromwich Albion, is what puts it on the map. Founded in 1878, it’s one of the oldest in the country.

Indeed West Bromwich is positioned almost at the centre of one of the largest urban areas in England, but the good thing is that once away from it, there’s some seriously stunning scenery to take a look at on 4 wheels. The Peak District is due north, and the Brecon Beacons are also to the south west, but the truth is that you don’t have to travel that far to find some epic driving roads- there’s plenty to see in the surrounding counties.

The great thing about shopping for used cars for sale in West Bromwich at Motors.co.uk is that you can be totally sure that what you’re looking at are some of the best deals around. This is a website that prides itself on listing nothing but the highest quality second hand cars, of which there are thousands, and it really is head and shoulders above the rest. Throw in huge price reductions and ultimately it’s one of the best places online to secure a phenomenally good deal.
