Peugeot Partner

The Peugeot Partner is a panel van that’s got all the characteristics you’d look for in a small commercial vehicle. It’s robustly built and has a ‘let’s get on with the job’ kind of attitude to it. With a great drive, some frugal engines, a decent amount of interior space and surprising level of comfort, it certainly represents excellent value for money.

One of the best things about the Partner is that it’s so versatile. As such, several rather more domesticated versions based on the original chassis are available for family motoring. The Partner Combi is a good attempt at the familiar compact van/MPV adaptation, while the Partner Tepee is an altogether larger and sportier people carrier. The original panel van however was released in 1997, and has been a real workhorse of the commercial world ever since.

You don’t buy a van and expect it to be a masterpiece of design, but the Partner certainly isn’t generic. Yes it might have a traditional shape, but newer models sport some nice curves and quirky front end. The interior is businesslike and comes with 2 or 3 seats, of which the comfort levels are very good indeed. In terms of practicality, the load bay is a competitive size, and some useful features include sliding rear doors and a blind that acts as a partition between cabin and the back.

The Partner has several different engines on offer, and they deliver some good performance and fuel economy numbers. Whether you’re cruising down the motorway or negotiating tight corners on back roads, it’s all doable as the driving experience is excellent. Good levels of grip, relatively sharp steering and an even balance mean it feels more like a regular car than a van, especially when loaded up.

Motors.co.uk is the place to go for second hand cars for sale, and if you’re after a bargain used Peugeot Partner (in any form) there’s nowhere better to look. Big price discounts, a monumental selection and an impressive approach to quality mean a seriously good deal is always on the horizon.

Basically the Peugeot Partner is an attractive buy as a commercial vehicle, but it’s also worth checking out for families in its other guises. A solid all rounder, it’s decent to drive, economical to run and has a good level of practicality. The question is why would you buy this one over other vans? Quite simply, the answer is because it offers value for money in abundance.
