It comes with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control and autonomous emergency brakes. With this kit, you'll significantly reduce your insurance premiums.
The Vauxhall OnStar system comes standard with all of the newer Vauxhall Zafira Tourers. It's an intelligent system that provides drivers with 24-hour automatic emergency call assistance in the event of a collision. You can also use it as a WiFi hotspot, making it convenient to book services on the move, such as parking spaces, hotel rooms, or contacting Vauxhall's service centre.
For a better riding experience, go for a Zafira Tourer version from 2016 or later. They come with 17-inch wheels that feel well composed on the road, providing fair poise around corners and decent precision. When you take the Tourer down a winding country road, you'll notice the suspension keeps it smooth, unless on an extremely rough surface.
The 2016 facelift did not affect the Zafira Tourer's engine line-up. The options comprise a 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre diesel motor, plus a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The 1.6-litre diesel option only comes with a 6-speed manual transmission, but the remaining 2 engines offer a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox. All the engines and gearbox options come available across the entire range of Vauxhall Zafira Tourer trims.
The Tourer has a 710-litre capacity boot that offers plenty of space, even with all seats upright in place. Folding down the seats opens up 1,860 litres of cargo room, which slightly lags behind the 2,020 litres found in its main rival, the Ford S-Max.
The Vauxhall Zafira Tourer's Euro NCAP 5-star safety rating is undoubtedly reassuring, especially for those who place safety on top of the checklist when deciding on a family vehicle. Some safety features you'll find in this family-class MPV that come standard are 6 airbags, traction control and electronic stability control.
