Used Vauxhall Adams can be found with a range of petrol engines, with the option between a manual and an automatic gearbox and standard front-wheel drive.

  • 1.4-litre offers outputs of 85bhp and 98bhp, with the first being the only available engine to pair with an automatic gearbox.
  • S model includes a 1.4-litre engine that produces 147bhp, giving it a top speed of 130mph and a 0-60mph time of 8.2 seconds.
  • 1.0-litre engine came later with an output of 113bhp and a superior rating of between 56 and 60mpg.

Practicality

Because of the size of the Adam, it's best suited for journeys to and from work and the shops, or short trips like the school run. It's a practical city car that prioritises the comfort of the front passengers.
