For those looking for a car with bags of space and functional features, the Vauxhall Combo is certainly one to consider. The van-based MPV is the only seven-seater now offered by Vauxhall since the discontinuation of the Vauxhall Zafira. Frequently compared to the Peugeot Rifter and Citroen Berlingo, the Vauxhall Combo Life is packed full of exciting features making it one of the most practical cars on the market.
Beginning production in 2018, the Vauxhall Combo Life is currently in its first generation. Despite its recent introduction, the concept of the Combo isn't novel. It has been an integral part of Vauxhall's lineup since the 1980s, originally starting its life as a commercial van before evolving into a functional family MPV.
Whilst there haven't been any further generations introduced, in 2021, the Vauxhall Combo-e Life joined the range, offering an electric alternative.

There have not been any recalls for the Combo Life up until now and very few problems have been reported. If repairs are needed, many of its components and parts are readily available as it shares many with other popular Vauxhall models. Whilst it may not look visibly appealing to all, the Vauxhall Combo Life has a great reputation amongst consumers for being a reliable and practical family car.
As part of the PSA group, the Vauxhall Combo Life is unsurprisingly most comparable to the Citroen Berlingo MPV and the Peugeot Rifter, sharing many of the same engines and mechanical components. Other MPV-equivalents on the market include the Ford Tourneo Connect and the Volkswagen Caddy.
As the name suggests the main difference between the Combo Life and Combo Life XL is size. The standard Combo Life measures 4,403mm in length and accommodates 5 seats, with 597 litres of boot space extending to 2,126 litres when the seats are folded down. The Combo XL is slightly longer at 4,753mm in length accommodating 7 seats with a boot space of 806 litres. This extends to 2,693 litres when the rear seats are removed or folded down.
