Interior space
The original 500 nameplate dates back to the 1930s but was revived in 2007. Even though it's technically in its third generation now, the previous models were discontinued in 1975, so there's no comparison between the two. The latest generation includes an all-electric variant, known as the 500e.

The dashboard looked very different overall, in fact, and Bluetooth, DAB sat nav and smartphone integration was included as standard on top-of-the-range Lounge models.
The exterior design remained extremely recognisable from before, but with re-shaped fog lights and redesigned headlamps, plus LED daytime running lights. The front end was also revised in with a new grille design and tweaked bumper/air intake. A revised taillight and chrome bumper trim at the rear completed the styling changes.
