A facelift occurred in 2014 with clearer body lines and a sharp styling upgrade. A black plastic shield was swapped for the previous aluminium underbody protection and the manual gearbox was removed.

Starting with the third-generation Cayenne, Porsche shared the platform with the Lamborghini Urus and Bentley Bentayga, while adding more equipment, such as rear-wheel steering that enhanced its turning ratio and cornering speed.
