Engines and transmissions

Volvo offered many options through the years of V60 production, with petrol, hybrid or diesel engines, automatic or manual gearboxes, and front-wheel or four-wheel drive.

Petrol

Mild-hybrid B3 and B4 variants use a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine to produce 160bhp or 194bhp, with an efficiency rating of between 44.8 and 45.6mpg.
PHEV T6 generates 335bhp for a 0-62mph time of 5.2 seconds and a maximum speed of 112mph, allowing for up to 54 miles of electric-only driving.
T8 twin-engine hybrid produces an impressive 385bhp combined and around 30 miles electric-only driving.
Older 2.0-litre petrol engine creates 246bhp for a 0-60mph time of 6.4 seconds, with an efficiency rating of around 43mpg.

Diesel

D3 produces 147bhp with a 0-60mph time of 9.6 seconds and an efficiency rating of up to 55.4mpg.
D4 creates 187bhp for a 0-60mph time of 7.6 seconds, offering the same efficiency rating of around 55.4mpg.

The Volvo V60 is a more practical version of the S60, creating ample room for passengers and cargo alike.

Interior space

Front seats are supportive and comfortable with newer models including in-seat heating.
Rear seats hold tall adults with ease with plenty of legroom to spare.

Boot space

519-litre boot is larger than the BMW 3 Series Touring and Audi A4 Avant.
Folding down the rear seats increases the space to 1,441 litres.

V60 is the estate version of the S60 saloon.
