If you're in the market for a car that's stylish, comfortable and refined, then a used Mercedes-Benz EQC is a great choice. This electric SUV is comfortable to drive with a spacious, high-tech and upmarket interior. With its dependable powertrain, there's minimal noise or vibration, even at motorway speeds, and it offers plenty of acceleration and enjoyment.
There aren't any petrol or diesel powertrain options with the Mercedes-Benz EQC, as all models include an electric configuration with an automatic transmission and four-wheel drive.
ElectricWith the EQC based on the GLC, it's clear that the electric variant is a great option for busy families, offering plenty of space for passengers and cargo.
Interior spaceThe Mercedes-EQ lineup was created for the all-electric models, with the EQC (first model) released in 2019. Using a crossover platform, the EQC looked like a premium Mercedes-Benz from every angle. The design included a mostly closed grille, LED headlights and two air scoops for aerodynamics. While the premium vehicle was discontinued in 2023 before entering a new generation, Mercedes-Benz ensured that it had updated technology and styling to keep it modern.
This was the brand’s first fully electric SUV and marked the beginning of Mercedes' EQ electric range. It offered a smooth, quiet ride with dual motors delivering all-wheel drive and around 400 horsepower, making it quick off the line. The 80 kWh battery gave it a range of roughly 400 km in ideal conditions, though real-world numbers were usually a bit lower.
Inside, it felt every bit like a premium Mercedes, with a comfortable, tech-filled cabin and strong safety ratings. While it wasn't the fastest-charging EV out there, the EQC delivered a refined and relaxing electric driving experience.

The Mercedes-Benz EQC has a 80kWh battery pack, which can be charged from 10%-80% in around 40 minutes when using an appropriate fast charger. When using a home wallbox, the EQC will take around 11 hours to fully charge. When fully charged, it can offer up to 256 miles of driving.
Mercedes-Benz offers several models of the EQC, including Sport, AMG Line and AMG Line Premium. The AMG Line offers a great mid-point in the lineup with the AMG-specific black panel radiator grille, 20-inch AMG alloy wheels and black leather upholstery.
You could look out for an advanced sound system, and there's also an available Parking Package that includes active park assist with a reversing camera, which is helpful when driving in the city.
With a similar amount of space as the GLC, the EQC makes a great family vehicle. There's enough room to hold five people and several suitcases for a holiday drive. It comes equipped with the latest tech and comfort features for an enjoyable drive.
The EQC was the first electric SUV from Mercedes-Benz. It's bigger than the EQB, but smaller than the EQE. Two rows are available in the EQC, with seating for up to five people.
Because it's an electric vehicle, the only option is for an automatic transmission. With no gears, drivers receive instant torque when pushing on the accelerator, allowing for a 0-62mph time of 5.1 seconds.
All Mercedes-Benz EQC models have standard four-wheel drive, known as 4Matic. This added capability provides better traction when the road is slippery.
