Interior spaceThe Ford Galaxy was unveiled in 1995 as a family-friendly MPV, produced in partnership with SEAT, Volkswagen and Ford. With the 2019 refresh, the styling was further updated with clear-lens fog lights and improved headlights. The top-spec model also included a hexagonal grille with 3D mesh. Ford focused on better emissions and efficiency from the engine lineup for the final years of the Galaxy's production.

The second generation was the first Galaxy model produced outside of the Volkswagen partnership, and Ford focused on making the lineup more practical. The manufacturer used many of the same components from the S-MAX, but it was longer and wider to allow room for seven people to fit.
