If you're in the market for a car that's fast, powerful and designed to offer excitement, then a used Nissan GT-R is a fantastic choice. Offering better performance than many supercars, the GT-R provides superb value considering the power, acceleration and remarkable handling capabilities.
All configurations of the GT-R include a petrol engine paired with an automatic gearbox and four-wheel drive.

Interior spaceThe GT-R first made an appearance in the UK in 2009, when Nissan dropped the Skyline name from its iconic sports car. Over the years, it has been offered in a variety of editions, including the coveted top-of-the-range Nismo variant. Nissan always kept the GT-R updated, so there was never a lack of comfort, power or technology. The GT-R was discontinued in the UK in 2022.

All GT-R models include a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine. The most desired is the Nismo with an output of 591bhp, but it's also the most expensive, so most people tend to go for the standard GT-R.
Nissan offered the GT-R in several variants, including Pure, Recaro, Prestige, Track Edition and Nismo. Of these, the Recaro tends to be the most popular with its desirable red and black sports seats that enhance the appearance.
While the GT-R came well-equipped, even from the base model, there are also versions with full leather, lightweight 20-inch alloy wheels and a race-tuned suspension. There are also the Nismo-tuned Bilstein dampers for added control.
While it wouldn't immediately be thought of as ideal for a family, the GT-R does have enough room in the rear seats for children. There's enough space for smaller adults for shorter journeys. Also, the boot is large for the segment, meaning that a couple of bags can be put in the back for a holiday. It's relatively quiet when you're not pushing hard, so can easily be used as an everyday sportscar.
Nissan's focus was on creating the most power possible for the GT-R, so a hybrid version was never released. Instead, all models included a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 that was rated for up to 591bhp.
